Awesome Amazon Author Spotlight – A.C. Melody
As an Army brat, A.C. was born abroad and spent the first three years of her life in Hanau, Germany, the hometown of the Brothers Grimm. Yet it would still be many years before she’d get the chance to add ‘writer’ to her creative family’s list of artists and musicians. After returning to the States, she was moved around a bit, before her family finally settled in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, where she still happily resides.
With schooling in Business and Computers, A.C. found herself slinging beer to the local Iron Workers and classic car enthusiasts, until she got a lucky break in the mortgage industry as a loan processor. In 2008, her career crashed along with the entire housing market. With the encouragement of friends and family, it was then that A.C. decided she was going to finish one of her countless manuscripts and turn her writing dreams into a reality.
On Mother’s Day, 2013, that dream came true when an e-publisher emailed her with a contract proposal for her first novel, The Zen Lounge. Writing and submitting books only to wait years to see them published just wasn’t enough for this writer, so in 2016, A.C. became a hybrid author, self-publishing her first Indie novella, Collar Me Foxy, followed by the Avarice trilogy. As a single mom, family genealogist and writer, she spends 90% of her time researching for one reason or another – but gets a break with her day job as a Real Estate Transaction Coordinator.
A.C.’s books include romantic erotica Collar Me Foxy: Dark Day Isle, The Ultimate Kink Resort, the erotic science fiction romance The Zen Lounge and the erotic paranormal Avarice, Hell On Earth series.

His silvery eyes roamed her freely now, rather than trying to penetrate into her bones.
“Won’t that leave Serena and Justin alone?”
“No,” he answered, leveling her with a stubborn stare. “You’re not going to win this argument, Reyna. There is no way in hell we’re leaving anything to chance, not with those who matter most to us. Now, get over here.”
Reyna scoffed. As if!
“Please,” he added gently.
It took Reyna about ten seconds to reluctantly scoot across the bench seat, still leaving a good arms length between them, because it appeared he wasn’t going anywhere until she did. If he thought she was done with her side of their little compromising barter, though, he was in for a big surprise! She inhaled sharply, when Corbyn hooked his arm around her waist, lifted her, and set her down across his lap. Her feet faced the passenger door, her back cradled in the crook of his left arm still clutching the steering wheel.
Desire unraveled in her veins, starting in her toes and working all of the way up to the roots of her hair. Every inch of her was once again hyper-aware of every inch of him, and she fought hard to keep her composure intact.
“Do you really think distance keeps you safe, falleg?” he asked softly, brushing her ponytail out from between the back of her head and his shoulder.
Fawk…what? “Did you just call me fugly?” she snapped.
“Not even close,” he replied. “Answer the question, Reyna. I’m onto your evasion tactics.”
Well, aren’t we clever?

ReBlog – Hi everyone! Soooo… I need to backpedal a little bit. In hindsight, this probably should’ve been my first Dear Indie post, but as with all things in my journey, I’m learning everything as I go. I’m here to help, yes – but I am far from being the expert! With that being said, this week’s post is about saving yourself the headache of last-minute deadlines you might not even be aware of (especially, if you’re a brand new author). Things no one takes the time to warn you about, that should be done BEFORE your manuscript, and definitely before that beauty is ready to publish.
