Kylie Gilmore – The Opposite of Wild

The Opposite of Wild - Kylie GilmoreThe Opposite of Wild is the first in the Clover Park Series

If you like sweet romances than The Opposite of Wild is for you. I really enjoyed it and can’t wait to pick up the next one in the series. But that’s the beauty of this series, I don’t have to pick up the next one. I can pick up the third in the series and be fine because each book is a stand-alone. I look forward to seeing Liz and Ryan making a cameo further in the series.

Liz Garner is a straight laced, ironed pants kind of girl. She always does the safe thing. Unforeseen circumstances forces her out of her comfort zone and into the path of Ryan O’Hare. Ryan, a hunky carefree motorcycle riding bachelor needs someone to look after his Gran, who better than a women who never steps on the wild side. But the more he interacts with Liz the more he sees fire in her eyes. Can he turn that fire into an inferno? Should he? Will Liz loosen up enough to let him?

You’ll have to read the book to find out. Or listen to the audiobook like I did.

The audiobook has good narration. I found it easy to follow along with. I could click play and be sucked right into the world Kylie created. While there I fell in love with Liz and Ryan but I must admit Ryan’s Gran was my favorite character. She had such a spunk that was so endearing. I envy that ‘live for the moment’ attitude. All of Kylie’s characters were well written and I didn’t have one I didn’t like.

I can relate to Liz the most and her desire for order and structure. I’m curious if a couple of kids can knock it out of her like mine did me. Maybe I’ll find out in another book if they pop in.
